Een leven van geloof,
werk en schrijven
Peter Briscoe is een Engelsman, geboren in 1950. Hij studeerde chemie en management aan de Loughborough University of Technology en legde daarmee de basis voor een carrière die zakelijk succes en Bijbels geloof met elkaar zou verbinden.
In 1974 verhuisde Peter naar Nederland, waar hij in opdracht van zijn bedrijf een dochteronderneming oprichtte om gespecialiseerde chemische producten te verkopen aan de lucht- en ruimtevaartindustrie en de voedselverwerkende industrie. Nederland werd zijn thuis — voor altijd.
Van 1986 tot 2002 was Peter directeur van CBMC Nederland (Christian Businessmen's Committees). In 1990 richtte hij daarnaast Synthesys op, een adviesbureau gespecialiseerd in de ontwikkeling van chemische producten.
Toen de Berlijnse Muur viel, zag Peter een unieke kans. Hij ontwikkelde Europartners — een beweging die zich toelegt op de evangelisatie van Europese zakenmensen en hen helpt als discipelen van Christus te groeien. In diezelfde periode was hij medeoprichter van het Nederlandse Nationale Gebedsontbijt, de European Economic Summit en de Schuldhulpmaatje-beweging.
In 2002 werd Peter benoemd tot algemeen directeur van HE Space Operations, dat Europese ruimtevaartinstellingen bedient en gespecialiseerd is in het leveren van professionele diensten op het gebied van ruimtevaartactiviteiten. Hij was ook medeoprichter van de International Association for the Advancement of Space Safety.
In 2008 trok Peter zich terug uit het bedrijfsleven om een beweging voor financieel discipelschap in Europa op te zetten — eerst via Crown Financial Ministries en vervolgens via Compass – finances God's way. Sindsdien schrijft hij, geeft hij les en bouwt hij aan een netwerk van bijbels rentmeesterschap dat ondernemers en particulieren in heel Europa bereikt.
Peter is lid van de Baptistengemeente van Leiden en diende twaalf jaar als voorzitter van de ouderlingenraad. Hij is sinds 1972 getrouwd met zijn Nederlandse vrouw Didie. Ze zijn gezegend met drie dochters, drie schoonzonen en zes kleinkinderen.

A life of faith,
business and writing
Peter Briscoe was born in England in 1950. He studied industrial chemistry and management at Loughborough University of Technology, building a foundation that would carry him through five decades of business, ministry and writing.
In 1974 Peter moved to the Netherlands, where he was commissioned by his company to establish a subsidiary selling specialised chemical products to the aerospace and food processing industries. The Netherlands became his permanent home.
From 1986 to 2002 Peter served as Director of CBMC Netherlands (Christian Businessmen's Committees). In 1990 he also founded Synthesys, a consultancy specialising in the development of chemical products.
When the Berlin Wall fell, Peter recognised a historic opportunity. He developed Europartners — a movement dedicated to reaching European business leaders with the Gospel and discipling them in the way of Christ. During this period he was also co-founder of the Dutch National Prayer Breakfast, the European Economic Summit, and the Schuldhulpmaatje debt-counselling movement.
In 2002 Peter was appointed Managing Director of HE Space Operations, serving European space institutions and specialising in professional services for space activities. He was also co-founder of the International Association for the Advancement of Space Safety.
In 2008 Peter stepped back from business to build a movement for financial discipleship across Europe — first through Crown Financial Ministries, then through Compass – finances God's way. Since then he has written, taught and networked tirelessly, producing around thirty books on biblical stewardship of money, business and life.
Peter is a member of the Baptist Church in Leiden, where he served as Elder Board Chairman for twelve years. He has been married to his Dutch wife Didie since 1972. They are blessed with three daughters, three sons-in-law and six grandchildren.
